The Seward Creative District is in our historic downtown area. The area is on the Nebraska Historic Register and includes our Historic Courthouse Square as a gem in the heart of the district. This area welcomes visitors as the home of America’s official “4th of July Small Town U.S.A.” celebration. We are enthusiastic about this area, and we encourage people to experience and discover the many ways to explore the Seward Creative District. From boutiques to breweries and museums to eateries – experience the many different places that make Seward unique. Embrace the beauty of a slow pace and experience the beauty of a Norman Rockwell setting. Seward has small town charm and one-of-a-kind treasures.
We encourage you to explore the natural and historic sites and the beauty of the Seward Creative District with many timeless traditions taking place year-round. Plan to attend the 5th Street Summer Music Series at our historic bandshell, the artists and authors day on the courthouse lawn, or the annual magical lighted Christmas Parade on Thanksgiving weekend. We invite you to stay and shop at our local Liberty House Antiques and Accommodations, a lovely historic home built in the 1880’s and has all the charm of a grand home of the period. Seward is a great place to visit and delve deeply into the arts, culture, and sites.
In the district are a host of outstanding art galleries – such as Red Path Gallery and Tasting Room, it includes a brewery, Bottle Rocket Brewing Company. We welcome your exploration, be sure to watch a movie at our local historic Rivoli theater. Or visit the Nebraska National Guard Museum. The shops are plentiful, historic, and fun to visit too. All some of the best in the state.
