As a reminder, we require all Nebraska Touring Program (NTP) artists to have a force majeure clause in their contracts. An example can be found below.
If the performance of any part(s) of this agreement on the part of the Company (*Artist) or the Sponsor is prevented by an act of God, physical disability, illness or incapacity, the acts, regulations or orders of duly constituted public authorities, strike, civil tumult, war, epidemic, interruption or delay of transportation services or another cause beyond its or their control including weather, the Company (*Artist) and the Sponsor will respectively be relieved of their obligations under this agreement during the period performance if such covenant(s) is prevented. In the event it is necessary to cancel the program because of such circumstances, both parties agree to make good faith efforts to re-schedule the performance at a mutually agreeable time within the NAC funding year (if applicable) and the existing Company (*Artist’s) touring schedule. The Sponsor agrees to compensate the Company in full for any such re-scheduled performance. If the contract cannot be re-scheduled at a mutually agreeable time, this contract is null and void. *Whether Company or Artist is used depends on your individual circumstance.
Please confirm this clause is included in your contract
