NAC Creative District Assembly Open Call for Host Communities

The Nebraska Arts Council invites you to submit a proposal to host the 2025 Creative District Assembly.  The Creative District Assembly is an annual event that will be held in Creative Districts across the state of Nebraska.  The goals of the Assembly include bringing together district representatives to learn from each other and presenters and highlighting creative community endeavors.

Previous Assembly hosts have found that just under half of the attendees were visiting the community for the first time and all the attendees spent money shopping at businesses in the district.

Event Date: The Assembly will take place in late summer/early fall.  The Nebraska Arts Council will work with the selected community to find a date that works best.

Event Length: The Creative District Assembly will take place over a full day, approximately 8am – 4:00pm, with a welcoming activity like an artist concert the evening before.

Assembly Description and Participants: The Nebraska Arts Council works with Creative Districts across the state.  You should expect 100+ Creative District representatives that will come together to learn and network.

Selection Criteria: Our participants have requested sites that are unique, creative, highlight the accomplishments of the Creative District, and present ideas that might benefit other Districts.

Submissions will be based on the following criteria:

Deadline: Proposals should be submitted no later than Monday, December 2nd.
