Throughout Nebraska City’s 170-year history, members of Otoe-Missouria Native American tribes, Lewis & Clark, western-bound pioneers, and gold prospectors, mid 1800’s merchants, Underground Railroad freedom seekers, immigrant farmers, land prospectors, tree-planters and tree-lovers are all part of those who have left their footsteps in the area now known as the Nebraska City Creative District.
