The Heartbeat District, also known as the Hastings Art & Beat District, is generally bounded by Burlington Avenue, Eastside Boulevard, the railroad tracks, and 7th Street in Hastings’ historic downtown. With revitalized historic buildings that contain local businesses and upper story living, Downtown Hastings is a lively place to be. As the original location of Eileen’s Cookies and the birthplace of Kool-Aid, Downtown Hastings embodies the community’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
Downtown Hastings is also home to various events including the Celebration of Lights and Downtown Farmer’s Market, as well as concerts and parades. The creative spirit can also be seen in the variety of sculptures and murals located throughout the downtown area. We hope to see you soon!
