Kim Darling
In Kim Darling’s residencies, participants work from the perspective of a large scale abstract painter, are introduced to the concept of painting without boundaries. Students explore the freedom that can be found by finding your own personal iconography, using a color rich palette, and new ideas about scale. Based on experience level, participants will explore a variety of mixed media, from acrylic paint to ink to pastel and how these can be mixed to create prolific works of art. Kim aspires to helping students gain an understanding of how art can be used to express their own voice.
