Carrie Nath
Carrie Nath has been working in schools and communities throughout the United States for over thirty years. Carrie enjoys teaching students of all ages, K – Adult Seniors, and has extensive experience working with creators with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Movement based storytelling and creating opportunities for the artist in all of us to thrive is her passion. Utilizing the actor’s toolkit of body, voice and imagination, Carrie works with students to explore characterization, storytelling and improvisation and weave together their own story.
Carrie has worked extensively in Shakespeare, Commedia (clown work), and musical theater. Her Shakespeare residencies delve into text, scenes and exploration of custom and dances of the Elizabethan Court. Commedia residencies dive (sometimes literally) into the classic comedic characters and their physicality through mask work and mime technique. In addition, Carrie can work with you and your students to help bring STEM subjects alive by incorporating theater and movement.
