Open call for LGBTQ+ Art 🏳️‍🌈

Call dates: November 20, 2024 – January 19, 2025

The BlueBarn Theatre’s Art In The Blue exhibition program is seeking LGBTQ+ artists for an upcoming spring exhibition.

This open call welcomes submissions in 2D work—painting, drawing, photography, multimedia, etc — and small scale installation.

The program is seeking artwork themed around LGBTQ+ love, self-discovery, and pride for an exhibit which will run March 27 – April 19 alongside the stage production of The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me by David Drake.

David Drake’s unforgettable chronicle of self-discovery takes us with him as he awakens to gay pride and answers the call to action. We travel with him through the height of the AIDS crisis and into a dreamed-of future where anyone can walk anywhere, hand-in-hand, without condemnation or fear. We will never stop fighting for the freedom to love. We will never forget those we have lost.
